Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Lincoln Lawrence ventured east to study at Saint Michael’s College graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Biology. Following college, Dr. Lawrence worked several years in the business sector. Seeking a healthier lifestyle Dr. Lawrence returned to school at the MGH Institute of Health Professions where he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy with training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, as well as Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
Through his life Lincoln has participated in sporting and exercise, initially as a varsity high school athlete, a college and later masters swimmer, and weekend warrior. Dr. Lawrence is familiar with the trials and tribulations of orthopedic injuries related to sports and rehabilitation, but also the effect of sedentary work on the aging body.
Dr. Lawrence’s mobile practice seeks to address and work to prevent future injuries in adults who are looking to improve their health. Dr. Lawrence understands the demands of peoples jobs and lives leaving them short on time or ability to attend physical therapy during traditional business hours. Whether patients are training for their first 5k, returning to exercise following injury or just a lapse in time, or perhaps even need assistance during non-traditional business hours, Dr. Lawrence can be of assistance.
Dr. Lawrence has experience and interest in the treatment of orthopedic conditions and joint replacement, but also in neurologic conditions to include vestibular, Parkinson’s Disease, and post-stroke. In addition, Dr. Lawrence is interested in helping people to prevent injury through teaching of proper technique in functional motions, such as squatting.
